APRIL 2020 Horoscope
Pandemic Plan: The Most Profitable Activities for Your Zodiac Sign
Here’s why you can’t afford to wait on growing your business, or making income during the pandemic isolation.
As traditional offices close and people work from home, it might be tempting to stop working on your career or think it impossible to make sales in an unpredictable economy or feel that a long overdue Netflix binge qualifies as constructive personal development. But the hard truth is that in a few months once the initial pandemic restrictions have been lifted- and they will be—outside life will resume and you’ll be behind.
Worse, you might be broke.
In the meantime, there will have been plenty of other companies and professionals who spent several months learning new skills, providing creative offerings, maintaining a cash base and catching new customers driven to their businesses by the changing global circumstances. Once the pandemic is over, you won’t be ready to out-compete them and your former customers (or employer) may discover they no longer need what you had been offering in the face of newer more innovative options.
Here’s your wakeup call.
I have been drilling this into the minds of CEOs, business owners, entrepreneurs and ambitious professionals this month during our Cosmic Coaching sessions: if you don’t go out of business or lose your job during the initial pandemic cycle, you could end up out of the game after the pandemic unless you’re actively pivoting now.
I’ve re-focused my Cosmic Coaching sessions to direct professionals toward the most profitable activities based on their individual horoscopes. Let’s talk about what each zodiac sign should be working on for the month of April to grow their business, promote their career, or enrich their personal life.
But before we dive into forecasting…
Here’s some important insight on how to properly use the astrological system to your advantage and the difference between general horoscopes and your real horoscope.
When reading free horoscopes (such as in this article, online, magazines or social media) :
1) Realize that they are general.
It’s not your real personal horoscope- it’s an overall prediction of what’s happening for a collective population that shares a similar birthday to you. And it only considers 1 of 11 astronomical bodies- the Sun position to be exact. Whereas your real personal horoscope takes all astronomical bodies into account.
2) General horoscopes are actually written for your Rising Sign, not your Sun Sign.
When writing overall general horoscopes, astrologers place the Sun at the sky’s horizon line throughout each of the 24 hours in a day so that the Sun takes a pass through each zodiac sign. We write the general horoscope according to what’s happening when each sign crosses the horizon line. This will likely differ from when the Sun truly crossed the horizon line of your real personal horoscope because your real personal horoscope is based on your actual birth time. So if you’re reading a freebie horoscope (like this one!), read the ‘scope for the Rising Sign based on your birth time—not just your traditional zodiac Sun Sign—to get more accurate timing.
If you don’t know your Rising Sign, just use a free app like astro.com or ask a professional like myself. You will need to know your accurate birth time.
If you don’t know your birth time (it should be on your birth certificate or ask your mom), then it’s okay to stick with reading the overall general horoscope for your traditional zodiac Sun Sign. Just acknowledge that the timing of the general predictions will be a bit broader than if you knew your specific birth time.
3) Real personal horoscopes are the only way to get complete and accurate predictions.
Astrology works because its math-based. Only when using all mathematical variables from your individual birth date, birth time and birth location can you calculate a quality forecast. While free general horoscopes are great for quick insight, don’t sell your house or get married based on a free horoscope—you need to see a professional astrologer.
And a final note for skeptics, naysayers, or those who aren’t sure if they “believe” in astrology:
It’s not magic, it’s math. Astrologers map the sky the same way your Uber driver maps your route- longitude, latitude, speed and time. Does it seem magical that the Uber app can predict what time your ride will arrive, when you will be dropped off at your destination, and if there will be any delays or alternative routes along the way? Of course not. Uber and astrologers use the same mathematical fairy dust.
Now, let’s get down to business.
ARIES/ARIES RISING:
Engage in social networking to improve your standing as a leader or with your boss by telling others what you are doing; market your personal efforts a bit. This may attract collaborators or facilitate teamwork that boosts a few bucks around 4/10-11. Now is an excellent time to get active in hobbies or charitable ventures you’re normally too busy to pursue.
Check out apps like Budge or CharityMiles for creative ways to earn donation money for your select charity based fun activities like 25$ cents for every mile you run or losing a friendly bet where the loser donates $1. What if you or your company could donate essential items to those in need during the pandemic? What if you could offer a charitable kickback when someone purchases your product or service? These endeavors will get you more connected in the community which could pay off in the fall when the crisis begins to clear.
Someone you meet through charitable giving or hobbies might eventually offer you a job or promote your brand later on. Certainly you’ll be regarded highly among your present company now. You’re most effective during the first two weeks of the month prior to 4/20, with 4/14-18 being your starstruck spread.
TAURUS/TAURUS RISING:
Demonstrate leadership through personal instruction. Taking charge reinforces your position as an industry or company thought leader, reminding folks that you’re the expert who can be trusted to safely guide others through both prosperous and turbulent times. Many are scared, unsure, even frantic during the “Covid Crisis”—their unspoken craving is for the earthy solidarity, calm and practical resourcefulness you provide.
People need to see you. And they want reassurance that you’re the person to place their money and trust with. Rally a digital team meeting using Zoom or send a live video message to customers using Quik. Consider doing a step-by-step explanation or demonstration of what consumers can be doing to mitigate loss or even enhance their circumstances during the downturn. The payoff comes if they “see” you even when they can’t literally see you. Target audiences after 4/19 through May; 4/21-22 and 4/26-30 are especially effective windows.
GEMINI/GEMINI RISING:
Spiff up appearances. Make yourself look good online by updating your brand website, editing your professional LinkedIn profile, add more recent photos of yourself or services, and make sure you, or your brand, has an active social media page. Consider hiring a social media or marketing consultant like Crescent Creatives to help. You are especially able to turn ‘superficial’ into savvy on 4/3-4 and 4/17-18. You may be happily surprised at the positive bounce your new look receives for an extended period of time, beginning around 4/26-27 through August.
Publish expert advice in a blog or newsletter, and even better to share insights live on video via YouTube or a social platform; your angle should be fun or creative to lighten these hard times. People are looking for answers during the global confusion so lend your sage wisdom to a professional publication like the Houston Business Journal or link with a publicist like Pop Studios PR to connect with broader media outlets.
CANCER/CANCER RISING:
Protect or enhance your reputation through partnership starting around 4/4. You may need to divide resources in a business partnership to protect yourself against losses, or perhaps align with a partner to leverage their resources for stability. You’ll know which one as soon as 4/1-2. Consider your financial and material involvements with others: how can resources be stabilized during the pandemic? Temporarily putting pocketbooks together could prove beneficial, or in some cases you made need to separate property involvements in order to keep swimming if one partner’s assets are sinking. Finalize decisions about financial involvements with others by 4/25.
See what banking and government resources could be accessible to based on your business classification (such as the US Small Business emergency loans) or personal status (demonstrating unemployment or hardship could get you flexible payments on rent, utilities, and other items). Also, think carefully about whether its more advantageous to file taxes now or later at the extended July deadline. It could be that a family or household member helps you, or perhaps they require your aid.
LEO/LEO RISING:
Seek helpers to get work done or rescue your health. You may lean on supportive interpersonal relationships to accomplish daily tasks during the pandemic, only to realize it would be valuable to maintain the extra help even after the chaos is over. Consider hiring a virtual assistant through Upwork, utilizing grocery or errand apps such as InstaCart or Favor, or buying a meal prep service like The Purple Carrot. The ease of assistance could shed light on some changes to your daily functions that have been pressing yet avoided up until now. It will free up time and mitigate stress levels. This will be good for your mental health and, in months like these, safer for your physical wellbeing too. A challenging circumstance around 4/7 may prompt the help search. Careful not to become bossy towards helpers- especially if your beloved is one of them. The second half of the month is more effective for you from 4/19-4/30 and especially innovative around 4/26.
VIRGO/VIRGO RISING:
Keep an active schedule of career-oriented tasks to maintain money momentum. It could be tempting to overindulge in leisure during the work-from-home era, but this month its best sticking to a clear plan of business initiatives to accomplish daily (even hourly). You’ll feel more successful when outlining distinct goals with very specific steps. As master business coach Marie Forleo advises: “focus on progress, not perfection”.
You may feel inspired about the road ahead around 4/3 and already mapping milestones on 4/5-6. Consider getting a multi-layer planner from a source like Freedom Mastery or utilizing a task-mastering app like Asana. Plan the week ahead in advance and revise the daily list each night before bedtime. If done effectively, you’re poised to make a bit of income from efforts launched during Fall 2019 or to generate new income leads during the third week of April. When feeling antsy during the workday, take a break for physical activity; try the popular new fitness app Centr designed by “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth or order the Uplift standing desk to remain active while productive.
LIBRA/LIBRA RISING:
Get educated about creative options. If your business or career feels stuck, embracing nontraditional solutions is the best bet. Luckily, you don’t have to think outside the box on your own—invest in an expert. Talk to a business manager or transaction specialist like Murphy Business Brokers, financial advisor like Rethink Wealth or White Rhino, or local business resource center such as the Greater Houston Partnership and SCORE.
Let someone else guide you through the possibilities of “OMG what should I do now?!”, especially around 4/7. Gather applications or informative literature; the goal is to learn what the potential options are, not necessarily to finalize a decision just yet. For some, a passion project could command extra cash this month so think of something creative that could be sold from home or online.
For those with little ones, managing homeschooling could be a handful this month. The Homeschool Helper or Chore Pad apps make things less chaotic, and Tutorville is stellar for finding the perfect subject-matter tutor for your child’s learning focus. Getting control of your business home base or household is most important around 4/4 and 4/25.
SCORPIO/SCORPIO RISING:
Secure the headquarters to halt cash calamities. Home base will be under fire this month unless you’re ahead of the action. Employees or coworkers feeling disorganized and unsure need you to take the reins. This is especially true if team or family morale is low. Temporarily minimize headquarters expenses by looking into deferred rent or mortgage payments or see if refinancing is a viable option given the new low Federal Reserve interest rates. Selling off excess property, supplies or equipment could create needed cash liquidity; consider if something you have could be contributed to other companies or individuals who are tackling the global health crisis.
Check out apps like OfferUp for selling goods. Non-essential staff could be temporarily furloughed until the economy picks up. Personally, you may feel unsettled in the place where you live or experience tension around a family situation. The first week of April feels psychically heavy but you get into gear on 4/9-10. You may be longing for the support of a business partner or personal companion while making such heavy decisions.
SAGITTARIUS/SAGITTARIUS RISING:
Seed new work opportunities, especially if you’re currently unemployed or business is slow. Most likely an old friend, former colleague or neighborhood contact might be looking for extra help that you or your business are perfectly suited for. Consider posting about your products, skills or services on neighborhood or community platforms such as placing a sign in your community center or mailbox area, posting on social media, placing yourself on Angie’s List or NextDoor.
Scroll through your rolodex and give check-in calls to familiar faces; everyone is craving connection right now and you never know what might turn up simply because you took the time to reach out with hello. You’re poised to attract a willing collaborator (perhaps even admirer) starting 4/3 through month’s end so aim for making 1:1 connections a top priority- especially around 4/10-12. Make note of an important individuals who become present around the 10th, 11th and 12th as there may be a rearranging of how you work together later in May-June. Word-of-mouth could be your best advertising agent.
CAPRICORN/CAPRICORN RISING:
Don’t fight fate. If you’ve been debating about whether to keep an income source, current events could make the decision for you. Perhaps there’s a job or investment you’ve been wanting to get out of for a while; the present situation could automatically close that door on your behalf. Maybe it’s a job or investment you’ve been considering taking more seriously, the circumstances could allow it to really take off.
Pay attention to the direction that the winds of fate are pointing as soon as 4/4 and follow with the necessary steps on your end to make it as easy as possible during the weeks leading up to 4/14-15. Either way you may happily receive a surprising amount of support from employees or colleagues and your daily work experience will improve because of it through 4/25. You could have an important conversation with your boss or make a key decision as a business owner around 4/7. Significant changes initiated this month will continue evolving in June and November.
AQUARIUS/AQUARIUS RISING:
Take action toward passion projects or passionate people. 2020 is combination of unraveling in some areas and strategic building in others. There are certain partnerships and business practices that you’re ready to release; necessary forces of the pandemic can facilitate that surrender if you let it beginning around 4/7. Meanwhile, other opportunities you’ve been wanting to make space for could advance if you take action while there’s extra time during the mandatory isolation period.
Kick into high gear around 4/11 and 4/17-18. The choice of where to most profitable expend energy should be geared towards what feels most passionate or inspiring. Is there a new project, person, or field of interest that lights you up way more than what you’ve previously been doing? Head that direction! How the money is going to come together isn’t yet the focus (that will become a priority later during the summer), right now just focus on getting it started. Initiative is especially favored in the second half of April.
Household, family life or location goals could be shifting in the backdrop alongside your shift of focus by 4/22. Enroll in business coach Marie Forleo’s B-School program or read her book “Everything Is Figureoutable” to launch your creative inspiration with solid business principles.
PISCES/PISCES RISING:
Plan with patience. The professional organization you’re affiliated with may change this year (or has recently changed within the year) and you could feel stuck in limbo during April. Perhaps you felt things were just taking off and so forced time off during the pandemic feels like a setback, or maybe it threw you into the hot seat at an organization that’s presently in crisis. For others you may have been ready to fly the coup towards greener pastures but now feel its safer to wade uncertainty in familiar waters.
Face internal struggles with grace. There’s a lot of stifled energy for you this month, so the biggest goals are keeping your cool and carefully planning now behind the scenes for things that won’t have room to flourish until later. 4/7 is perfect for plotting. Interestingly your planets this month are stellar for internet-based work from home, which is mandated protocol for the pandemic period anyways—so this might turn out well for you! Once everyone is allowed to return to their normal business models you may choose to keep much of your work domestic or digital. Innovative ideas about how to do this emerge around 4/3 and 4/18-20.
